While my tea still brewed I opened my to-do list. Two tasks immediately grimaced back at me. I made a weird and loud animal-sounding exhalation and just did them. Mark Twain called this “eating the frog”.
I took a break at 9am to try something new: a live online art lesson. Put on by Leoangeloart. Nick discovered these lessons when reading a thread for parents looking for creative activities for their quarantined children. We wondered what would be more believable: I’m the parent or the child. Either way – I’m an artist who is never too old to revisit the fundamentals.
As we inched into the afternoon I decided ‘learning something new’ fit as today’s theme. I learned how quickly the smell of minced garlic, when stored in the fridge, infiltrates an entire apartment. Nick started learning “Don’t Think Twice it’s Alright” by Bob Dylan on the guitar. We both learned a bit about the Alexander Technique (video below).
