Day 5 – Day 6

Day 5

Priority #1: Set up a workstation at the kitchen table.

Day 5

Priority #2: Stay off social media for a bit. Scrolling and scrolling. You don’t need to re-read information you already know (again and again). Inundated with other people’s panic and projects.

Priority #3: Yoga – you’re ready to begin again after a few months. Yoga with Adrienne is waiting. Today is the perfect day to start Home – A 30 Day Yoga Journey.

Day 6

Raining and cold. Sprouts is a maze of barren shelves. An hour passes as you seriously consider watermelon salsa and a can of great northern beans.

Day 6

For lunch you and your boyfriend make a box of mac n’ cheese. A simple pleasure that uniquely warms the heart.

Between pockets of work you listen to Sam Harris’ podcast: Making Sense. Episode #192: A Conversation with Paul Bloom.

After closing down the workstation for the day you do something you’ve never done before: Facetime. Your friend speculates how the dating world (specifically online) is going to be affected. Love in the Time of Corona.

You dig around for your copy of Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. You discover you have all three books belonging to Toni Morrison’s trilogy. There is no time like the present to remember reading.

Day 6_a

Highly recommend reading Toni Morrison. She’s a reader & writers delight.
